Hive Athletic

Hive CODE of Conduct

At Hive Athletic, we strive to create a welcoming, fun, and fair environment for everyone participating in our leagues. Please review the following policies to ensure that you understand our expectations and can help us maintain a positive experience for all.

1. Player Conduct

All players are expected to display good sportsmanship and respect toward other players, referees, and staff members. Any form of aggressive behavior, verbal abuse, or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or removal from the league.

2. No Physical Play Policy

Hive Athletic leagues are strictly no-contact. Any physical play, including pushing, shoving, or rough play, is prohibited. Safety is our top priority, and violations of this policy will result in immediate penalties, suspension from the league instead of from future games.

3. Alcohol Policy

While we want you to have fun, safety comes first. We encourage everyone to enjoy themselves responsibly. No alcohol is allowed on the playing fields or in any game areas. Participants who appear intoxicated will not be allowed to play.

4. Game Cancellations & Weather

In the event of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances, Hive Athletic will notify participants of any game cancellations as early as possible. We’ll do our best to reschedule any canceled games, but the availability of fields and time may impact this.

5. Refunds & Transfers

Participants may request a refund or transfer to another league if their league is canceled or rescheduled. Requests must be submitted in writing and are subject to review based on specific circumstances.

6. Team Rosters

All players must be listed on their team’s official roster in order to be eligible for league play, including playoffs. Any roster changes must be completed by the deadline communicated at the start of the season. Unregistered players or substitutes are not allowed in playoff games.

7. Substitutes

If your team is short players, substitutes are allowed during regular-season games (as specified by your league). However, all substitutes must meet eligibility requirements, and only official rostered players are allowed to participate in playoff games.

8. Waivers

All participants must sign a waiver before taking part in any Hive Athletic league. The waiver includes an acknowledgment of the inherent risks involved in sports and an agreement to release Hive Athletic from liability in the event of injury.

9. Disciplinary Actions

Hive Athletic reserves the right to take disciplinary action against any player or team that violates our policies. This may include suspensions, fines, or removal from the league, depending on the severity of the violation.
